Our Nutcracker that started as a tiny show in the Scotts Valley Community Center has undoubtedly secured its place as the most spectacular winter show in Santa Cruz, and this year is set to be no different! We’re so excited to once again share with our community our dazzling display of artistry and precision. On top of giving people a chance to see our incredible classically-trained dancers, our commitment to world-class production value is sure to be the biggest spectacle you can find in the area!
The production value of our Nutcracker is a testament to the dedication and passion of the entire team involved. From the elaborate lighting to the exquisite, handmade costumes, every detail is meticulously crafted to ensure a flawless and unforgettable performance. The lighting of our show by Sully Taylor is nothing short of extraordinary—the play of colors, shadows, and highlights creates a mesmerizing visual symphony that enhances every scene. From the halls of the Stahlbaum home to the wonderful Land of Sweets, the lighting design seamlessly transports the audience into a world of wonder and delight.
